Backpacker Accommodation at Pukeroa Station
Our lodge is a relaxed, no‑fuss place to stay that works well for backpackers, families and bigger groups travelling together. With plenty of bedrooms, shared spaces and a fully equipped kitchen, it’s an easy base for exploring the countryside or just unwinding on the farm.

• 12 bedrooms sleeping up to 30 people
• Pillows with fresh pillowcases supplied
• Bed linen available on request for a small extra fee of $5 per person
• Fully equipped self‑catering kitchen with tea, coffee and sugar provided
• 2 ovens, 2 fridge/freezers and a microwave
• BBQ for outdoor cooking
• Lounge and dining area with Freeview TV and a cosy log burner
• Ablution block with 3 showers, 3 toilets, 4 basins and a washing machine
• For very large groups, an extra kitchen/dining space is available across the road in the woolshed
• A mix of magazines, novels, children’s games, books and toys to keep everyone entertained
Room Setup & Rates
We’ve kept the layout flexible so it works for both backpackers and groups:
Double/Single
7 rooms with a double/single bunk combo plus an extra single bed (sleeps up to 4)
Twin
5 twin rooms with 2 single beds (sleeps 2)
Per night:
$30 per adult
$10 per child (ages 6–16)
No charge for children 5 and under
Optional bed linen: +$5 per person
You’re welcome to self‑cater in the lodge kitchen, and meals can sometimes be arranged in advance by request.
